Sarah Coventry "Jade Garden" Brooch

Sarah Coventry "Jade Garden" Brooch

$20.00Price

Sarah Coventry "Jade Garden" Brooch from 1966. Sarah Conventry began in 1949 as a direct sell jewelry company (not sold in stores, but at home parties), they didn't design their own pieces, but used other manufacturers to produce their jewelry (much of it produced in Rhode Island). In later years the jewelry was sold online and on home shopping networks, but the company went out of business in the 1980's. An attempt to reintroduce the brand began in the early 2000s, but by 2009 the company was out of business again. Early Sarah Coventry pieces were well made and popular. This pioece is called "Jade Garden" and dates from 1966. It's a lovely circular gold tone pin with a jade or simulated jade stone and a simulated pearl within a golden bouquet. Measures 2 inches at the widest.
